BUILDING THE DATABASE
Email addresses are collected during the 60,000 monthly telephone interviews completed by Harte-Hanks to update and build the CiTDB. From this, a master database of all the contacts in the CiTDB with a valid email address is created. Utilizing the technology and demographic components of the CiTDB, clients are able to select contacts and create the most targeted lists of email addresses available in the technology space.
OUR POSITION ON PRIVACY
The privacy of the contacts in the Technology Email Database is of the utmost importance. Harte-Hanks employs a variety of strategies to protect this privacy including:
- Every email message contains three ways for contacts to opt-out of the file.
- All campaigns are sent to contacts by Harte-Hanks on behalf of their clients. Contacts always know where messages originate.
- Contacts are never targeted more than 6 times a month, significantly reducing the stress on the file.
- All email messages are reviewed to ensure for business-appropriate content.
